Our intent
At Coleby Primary School, our intent is for all children to have a sense of excitement and curiosity about their world, and an awareness of the science all around them. We want children to recognise the importance of Science and how much it has changed their lives, and the lives of generations before them, whether through space exploration, medical advances or infinite other ways. Children need to develop a range of Scientific knowledge and skills to enable them to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave, and analyse causes, as well as recognise the possible uses of science for the future.
